Today, May the 25th, 2022, the XRE4S network members have gathered in a physical event when the face-to-face activity resumes in a privileged location: the Palau Requesens in Barcelona. It was an exclusive activity for XRE4S members.
The program started with the welcome by Manel Sanmartí and Marta Fonrodona, former and new Director of the XRE4S, respectively, followed by a summary of the XRE4S activities by Georgina Manyanic, junior manager of the XRE4S. The presentation included the formal voting procedure of the activities program of the XRE4S (favourable without objections), as part of the yearly General Assembly.
The event continued with the speech from Xavier Aldeguer (General Director of Knowledge Transfer of the Catalan Government) on “the role on technology transfer to industry”. Some interesting discussions and comments arised before and after the speech.
This waa followed by a round table with experiences of various members of the network on the technology transfer of their technologies in relation to their own experiences and how the XRE4S network helped them to fill in the gap between their research and industry. The moderator of the round table was Joana Tarrés (project manager of XRE4S) and the speakers of the table were Daniel Montesinos (Director of CITCEA-UPC), Mar Tristany (project manager from the superconducting materials group and large-scale nanostructuring, SUMAN, ICMAB-CSIC), Raquel Garcia (senior researcher from the Chemical and Environmental Engineering Laboratory Group (LEQUIA), University of Girona) and Albert Tarancón (ICREA Professor and Head of the Nanionics and Fuel Cells Group, IREC).
After a coffee break, the event focused on network activities in order to encourage future collaborations between members.
