Facilities from all XRE4S members: new video release

The XRE4S has made a firm commitment to accessibility and to create more attractive formats, and is therefore launching a series of videos, including interviews, technologies and capabilities of the entire network (check our members map).

Today, we are proud to present the series of videos XRE4S facilities showcasing the laboratory infrastructures and capabilities of the Network members, all relared to the energy sector. There are 3 videos devoted to describe the main facilities related to low carbon technologies, smart grids and energy efficiency, covering the energy pathway from generation, storage and conversion, transmission and usage.

These and more videos are available our YouTube channel.

Low carbon technologies

In the coming decades, we will see a revolution in the field of energy generation and conversion, that will secure sustainable energy supplies for our society. Reaching a decarbonised economy requires collaborative “research and development” efforts in combining theoretical, computational and experimental approaches. In this video, the XRE4S showcases the main infrastructures from our members, with the focus to bring solutions to current energy challenges related to low carbon technologies.

Smart Grids

The energy sector of the future will play a key role in securing sustainable energy supplies. It will require smart and efficient distribution of energy, and safe integration of renewables, while taking advantage of digitalization technologies. In this video, the XRE4S showcases the main infrastructures from our members, with the focus to bring solutions to current energy challenges related to smart grids.

Energy Efficiency

Improving energy efficiency in industry, housing and mobility is critical to meet the future energy demands while preventing climate change. In this video, the XRE4S showcases the main infrastructures from our members, with the focus to bring solutions to current energy challenges related to energy efficiency.
